A private day tour for your group only! No other tourists! As always, we are happy to create a specialized tour to meet your interests and requests.

Spend a glorious day visiting two places on the Black Sea: Constanta Harbor, located in Romania’s oldest continuously inhabited city, and Mamaia, the country’s most popular resort. Along the way, learn Greek history, enjoy Romania’s famous wines, and bask on the beach.

This is a low active tour! Easy activity, moderate walks, stops when needed.

We will pick you and your group up at the hotel or address where you are staying at 08:00. We’ll drive about three hours (230km or 143 miles) along the Sunshine Highway, a freeway that crosses fields of wheat, corn, and sunflowers. After we cross the Danube River, on the Saligny Bridge, you will have a chance to stop briefly for a wine tasting at Murfatlar Wine Cellar.

When we arrive in Constanta, we will go directly to the Old Town, where we’ll spend time in the historic center. Here, you will have a few hours to explore and visit sites that interest you. Your guide will explain the choices for activities, and give the group directions for when and where to meet. Whether you wander the area and see the monuments, or go to a museum, you will get a taste of our history and culture. Your guide will help you find the perfect restaurant for your lunch. (Not included in the tour.)

Next, it’s on to Mamaia! You’ll mingle with Romanians who love to vacation here. Rent a beach chair for the afternoon, stroll to the shops, ride the telegondola, or try your luck at the casino. You’ll see why the entire country loves this spit of land on the Black Sea!

In late afternoon, we’ll head back to Bucharest. You’ll ride comfortably in our air-conditioned vehicle. The ride back takes about three hours before we return you safely to where we picked you up. What a wonderful day, the Romanian way!
